The Mortuary Chapel at Bendigo Cemetery
The small stone, 1873 chapel at Bendigo Cemetery is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register as a significant gothic revival example of a mortuary chapel built from Harcourt Granite. Our office had written a Conservation Management Plan for the cemetery in 2002 and then later prepared permit applications and scope of works for stone work, slate roofing and repairs to the fleche. The chapel has recently been reopened for use.
