Boroondara cemetery

Our office has had a long involvement with the former Kew Cemetery, now Boroondara Cemetery Trust. The Cemetery is one of the most ornamental of Melbourne’s suburban cemeteries and is notable for the prominent burials and monuments within it. Our staff have written a Conservation Management Plan for the cemetery, and a review of the plan. The works plan of the CMP has resulted in repainting the gatehouse, repairs to the rotonda and the clocktower clock.

For this client we:

• Identified conservation needs and repairs in a CMP

• Provided documentation for multiple permits for works

• Provided scope of works and schedules

• Called and administered tenders, including horology specialists

• Undertook contract administration for works
